USER EXPERIENCE ENGINEER
Location: London, UK
Reports to: Lead Platform Engineer
JOB PURPOSE
You'll partner with Software Engineers and UX Designers to define and deliver new features, test new concepts and assist with final implementation. Details are critical as you iterate on complex interactions, animations and pixel-perfect visual designs.
As a UX Engineer, you will work closely with members of our design team to translate concepts into living, breathing prototypes. You will iterate constantly on interactions, animations and subtle details to deliver the perfect experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver innovative, engaging, pixel-perfect prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies
- Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers
- Fulfill multiple project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Assist software engineers with final development
QUALIFICATiONS
- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Meticulous attention to technical and visual details
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development experience
- Responsive Design experience
- Web platforms development experience
- Have the ability to work and communicate productively and efficiently with business stakeholders and designers
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with Object Oriented JavaScript and modern JavaScript libraries (e.g., Closure, jQuery, Node)
- OO design, MVC patterns and web services experience
- Fluency in one or more of the following languages C#, Objective-C or Java is a plus
- Agile or SCRUM development experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management and organizational skills
